Thelma M. Thompson

	Thelma M. 'Tiny' Thompson, of Du Quoin, formerly of Ashley, departed this life in the St. Mary's/Good Samaritan Hospital at Centralia on Friday, March 14, 2003 at 6:10 p.m.   She was 81.
	Thelma was born at Richview on September 8, 1921, the daughter of Earl and Ora (nee Blankenship) Thompson.
	Tiny was of the Baptist faith.  She had worked at Rockwell International at Centralia until her retirement.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her great-great-grandchildren.  Tiny also loved to play bingo.
	Left to mourn her passing are five children, Linda Braden (Frank) of Bluford, Jim Jeffers (Jan) of Centralia, Buddy Jeffers (Marie) of Richlands, N.C., Ruth Ann Reidelberger (Jerry) of Du Quoin and Billy Jeffers (Marilyn) of Centralia; one brother, Marvin Thompson (Betty) of Hanford, Calif.; two sisters, Ruth Cope (Cecil) of Hawk Point, Mo. and Dorothy Yancey of Jackson, Mo.; special friend, Katherine Toney of Mt. Vernon; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; other relations and friends.
	She was preceded in death by  her parents; two sons, Earl Eugene Jeffers and another son in infancy and also several brothers and sisters.
	Funeral services were held in the Campagna Funeral Home at Ashley on Monday, March 17 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Allen Mason officiating.  Interment was in the Richview Cemetery at Richview.
	Friends called at the Campagna Funeral Home of Ashley on Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. and on Monday from 7:30 a.m. until the hour of services.
	Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the St. Mary's/Good Samaritan Hospice.
